  • Total Population: 312,771 people.
    • Male: 147,067.
    • Female: 165,704.
  • Household Count: 65,776 households with an average size of 4.7 members.
  • Youthful Population: Over half the population is under 18 years old (173,125 individuals), with 52,452 children aged 0–4.
  • Urban Growth: Butaleja Town Council alone has a population of approximately 24,000.
Economic Indicators
  • Subsistence Economy: 34,561 households (approximately 52%) are engaged in the subsistence economy.
  • Unemployment: The unemployment rate for the working-age population (14–64 years) is 16%.
  • Youth Employment: 63% of youth aged 18–30 are categorized as NEET (Not in Employment, Education, or Training).
  • Social Protection: 5,432 households have benefited from the Parish Development Model (PDM).
