Butaleja District recently witnessed an important handover ceremony of the official LC1 and LCII Chairpersons’ stamps, procured by the Ministry of Local Government. The ceremony was attended by key district leaders, including the District Chairperson, Hon. Waya Richard; Principal Assistant Secretary, Mr. Himigu Herbert; Resident District Commissioner, Mr. Bayole Stanley; and the Chief Administrative Officer, Ms. Lucy Frances Amulen.
During the event, the official stamps were handed over to the Senior Assistant Secretaries and Town Clerks, who will ensure their onward distribution to LC1 and LCII Chairpersons for official use. This handover marks a key step in strengthening local governance and ensuring that administrative processes at the grassroots level are carried out efficiently and officially.
